Higurashi ni naku koro ni

Daaaammmmnnnnnn.

talk about deep. Higurashi seems to be able to cram so many genres into one series without looking silly.

I would recommend this anime to anyone who likes deep plots and mysteries, since the story has a way of taking a twist towards the end that really makes you go "Oh, so THAT'S how it happened"

I just finished watching the series, but I won't post any spoilers, since the fun comes from unraveling the mystery yourself.

Be prepared though. for much of the first season, you might be confused and even wonder what the hell is going on. be assured that by the start of the second season, all will be revealed, and the final pieces of the puzzle will be put in place.

Make sure you have a strong stomach though, since some scenes can be very very very VERY disturbing.

P.S. To Jade: Why should I save the world I no longer have a stake in.

Good god, the stupid shit people are doing just because they are excited over this thing. fangirlism at its worst.

don't believe me? here are some of the incidents I have taken note of since the first screening:

1. A pair of girls approached one of the actors for the film, all covered in bloody cuts. "we did this for you" was their statement. the bewildered actor just continued on.

2. Someone who was continuously screaming during one screening passed out from exertion.

3. A friend of mines was dragged to the theater by his girlfriend. she needed to pee during this one scene where edward was on screen. she peed in her popcorn tumbler instead.

4. Some people report being insulted just because they said they "didn't find twilight to be to their liking"

5. Someone during a screening nearly suffered a stroke from being overexcited.

Now let me tell all you fans something. the best service you can do to that which you like is to take things a bit at a time. calm the f*ck down. by acting like this you advertise poorly for that which you like, and pretty soon all those people you pissed off will soon find the numerous flaws in the franchise, and shove it down your throats.

People committing physical harm to themselves or others over some silly fiction just goes to show how stupid our generation is.

A great author has passed away

Wed Nov 5, 2008, 7:05 PM
Michael Crichton has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 66.

He was one of the best authors I have ever known, and forever changed the way I view science fiction literature.

I admired his no-nonsense and gutsy approach to science. He was a firm atheist, but he also understood the excesses of those who treated science as a religion.

I feel that it will be many many decades before we ever have another man quite like him.

RACIST S.O.B.!

I have never seen such a delusional bigot in all my entire life, as the one who wrote this abomination of a speech. the author is the host of a talk show in nevada, a certain Mr. Art Bell. read his letter below, and you'll see:

Filipinos... ..*make me puke* (Art Bell)

>As we've all come to notice, in the past few decades,
>Filipinos have begun to infest the United States like some sort of

>try very hard to associate themselves with groups that we know as
Asian. I
>cannot count the number of times I have seen a ' Third

>Japanese people. There is no connection and here's why. The
Philippines is
>a Third

>Filipino people during our entire human history. Young Filipino men
in
>America have

perverted

As a half filipino, I take great insult to this. some ignorant yankee thinks he's so high and mighty that he can degrade other people. please send this letter to all your friends and show them that racial intolerance is not supposed to be accepted nowadays. if you decide to e-mail him, please do so in a civilized yet straightforward manner. this guy makes me want to puke.

HOOOOO BOY!

I feel so sorry for DBZ fans everywhere.

they just released the working plot for the live-action DBZ adaptation, and trust me when I say it stinks like an aged pile of wet elephant manure, after a bad case of diarrhea.

Here's the plot: Goku is a lonely outcast in high school, who sets out to find the dragonballs he needs to defeat the evil lord piccolo, who killed his grandpa gohan.

on the way, he meets bulma and yamcha (and makes use of the latters swiss army truck. yep, that's right, A SWISS ARMY TRUCK WTF!!!!) and together they set out to save the world.
